JACQUELINE KENT Jacqueline Kent is an acclaimed biographer, and author of The Making of Julia Gillard, the first complete biography of Australia’s most powerful woman. Originally trained as a journalist and radio broadcaster, Jacqueline has worked as a book editor and reviewer and has a Doctorate of Creative Arts from the University of Technology, Sydney. She is the author of two general social histories and six books of fiction for young adults. She has won a host of awards for previous biographies, including the 2002 National Biography Award and Nita B. Kibble Award for her first book, A Certain Style, and her recent book An Exacting Heart was shortlisted in 2008 for The Age Non-fiction Book of the Year Award Queensland Premier's Literary Award for non-fiction, the NSW Premier's Literary Award and the Walkley Award, and won the Nita B. Kibble Award in 2009. |

CAROL SCHWATZ AM Carol Schwartz is a leading philanthropist and businesswoman, and the Director of the Trawalla Foundation. Carol holds many prominent positions in Australia, including Chairman of Industry Superannuation Property Trust, Chairman of Our Community, President of Melbourne International Arts Festival, Chair of Future Melbourne Reference Group, Executive in Residence at Melbourne Business School. She is also a council member of the Australian Innovation Research Centre, University of Tasmania, a board member of the Sydney Institute and a director of Social Ventures Australia. |

JO SWIFT Jo Swift is CEO of Kids Under Cover. Kids Under Cover was established in 1989 by prominent businessman and philanthropist, Ken Morgan. PATRIZIA TORELLI Patrizia Torelli has been involved in community development both professionally and in a pro bono capacity for many years. Patrizia is Chair of OnSide Victoria, a multicultural sport and recreation peak body and was recently elected to Chair of BalletLab, a contemporary dance company of international acclaim. Patrizia is interested in providing her community, business, education and sporting expertise on boards focused on promoting inclusion, social connection, wellbeing and access to services for all sectors of the community. As Managing Director of Spheres of Influence International (SofII), a joint venture strategy company delivering ‘new market’ solutions for business, Patrizia recently completed the Leadership Victoria, Williamson Community Leadership Program (2008). Patrizia is an expert in the provision of visionary leadership, strategic insight, competitive analysis and strategic planning during challenging periods. Patrizia was most recently employed by Cricket Australia where she held the position of National Participation Manager; Game Development. |

ANDREW MARTY Workshop: Leadership Development – Truth or Myth SACS Consulting Managing Director Andrew Marty will lead an interactive workshop on leadership development. The 2.5 hour workshop will untangle the essentials of leadership, looking at why leadership is important, the behaviour of effective leaders and how leadership qualities can be developed in not-for-profit industry professionals. Andrew is a qualified psychologist in the state of Victoria who has over 25 years of human resource management consulting experience, including extensive senior executive search and selection experience. |
